After a rough 11th place finish last weekend at Plymouth. Goodwin was ready to redeem himself to get a strong finish this Saturday at Plymouth. Fighting a tight car in practice, the team made adjustments for the heat race.
Starting in the 5th position for heat race #3, Goodwin had to finish in the top four to transfer to the A-Main. Once the green flag dropped, Garett jumped to the 4th position and was able to transfer to the A-Main.
For the A-Main, Goodwin had to start deep in the field in 15th. Green flag dropped and Goodwin was on a mission to the front. After avoiding a few wrecks, the #83 was sitting in 3rd place. Coming to the white flag, Goodwin unfortunately lost a position and brought it home in 4th.
“We almost had our second podium finish of the year”, Says Goodwin, “I had my hands full starting deep in the field, but I’m really proud of our run tonight.”
