DU QUOIN, IL - (March 4th, 2025) - Garett's 2025 race season started off at the Midwest Winter Nationals in Du Quoin, Illinois this past weekend for the two day event. There were over 40 cars entered in the Outlaw Non-Wing class over the weekend. These drivers were competing to race their way into the 22 car A Main events.
The team gained speed through out the whole weekend each time they hit the track. Making the show both nights was a huge success for the team. Friday night, Goodwin started 20th in the 25 lap A Feature event. When the green flag dropped, Garett made a charge through the field to finish the night with a 13th place finish.
Saturday nights 25 lap A Feature event, Garett rolled out in the 18th starting position. The track slicked off within a few laps and Garett was slowly making his way through the field. While running 14th with 4 laps to go, the car behind Garett ran over his left rear tire and spun Garett around causing a third car to collide into the left front corner of the car. Unfortunately, this ended Garett's strong run in the A Feature event.
